Day 1Arrival in Cochin

First of all, meet our representative upon arrival. Later, drive through the bustling streets of Cochin. Arrive at the hotel for check-in.

Furthermore, enjoy a city tour covering Mattanchery Palace. In other words, it was gifted to the king of Cochin by the Portuguese in 1555. After that, visit a 500 year-old Jewish Synagogue.
Moreover, see the Chinese fishing nets and local spices market.
In the evening, see Kathakali Dance.

In conclusion, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2Munnar

Firstly, drive to Munnar (120 km/4.5 hours). To clarify, the town derived its name from the confluence of the three rivers.
However, it presently offers beautiful vistas, spice plantations and aromatic oil factories. Most importantly, you will see several endangered species and the Neelakurinji flowers. In other word, these purple-blue blossoms bloom every 12 years.

Later, we will check in. To sum up, you will spend your evening at leisure.

Day 3Sightseeing in Munnar

First and foremost, we will explore Eravikulam National Park. In other words, it is home to various elusive and endangered species. Furthermore, enjoy trekking and mind-blowing views of tea plantations.

Later, proceed towards Tea Museum. That is to say, it gives an insight to the history of tea plantations of this region.
Thereafter, we will visit the Mattupetty Dam, Eco Point and Flower Garden.

Lastly, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4Alleppey

Firstly, we will drive to Alleppey (180 kms/6 hours). After that, board your houseboat.
To clarify, Alleppey is also known as “Venice of the East”. It has a large network of backwater canals. In other words, they meander through the town. They surround villages and Vembanad Lake.

Meanwhile, cruise through the beautiful and scenic backwaters of Kerela.

Lastly, stay overnight on houseboat.

Day 5Kumarakom

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kumarakom (30 kms/1 hour). That is to say, it is a charming emerald peninsula jutting into the picturesque Vembanad Lake. Moreover, it is dotted with innumerable traditional country rafts. Furthermore, the fresh water of the lake flows into the mainland. It makes a labyrinth of lagoons, canals and waterways.

Spend the rest of the day at the beautiful resort of Kumarakom or explore the Kerala Backwaters. In other words, embark on a sunset cruise. Vembanad Lake.

Most importantly, stay in Kumarakom.

Day 6Sightseeing in Kumarakom

First of all, enjoy your visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. It is an ornithologist’s paradise. In other words, the sanctuary spreads across 14 acres.

Furthermore, you may also want to indulge yourself with some Ayurveda treatments. That is on a direct-payment basis. It is the ancient Indian healing system. Moreover, it has been practiced for over 5,000 years.
To clarify, the various treatments are individually prescribed. Above all, they involve the use of medicated oils, herbs, powders and poultices.

In conclusion, overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 7Departure from Cochin

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Cochin airport (50 kms/1.5 hours). To sum up, board your flight back home.
